OP-NAT EYE

SULPHUR SPRINGS — The OP-NAT EYE wrote about former Bella Vista, Ark. cop Coleman Brackney last April when the Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards decide to let the killer retain police credentials. We predicted “it won’t be long [before] some police agency in Arkansas hires the convicted killer to patrol the streets in some unwitting Arkansas community.” The killer is not only back patrolling the streets. He is now a chief of police.
Brackney became chief of the Sulphur Springs police department this past Monday. The killer said he is “grateful for the opportunity.” Brackney shot Mr. James Patrick Ahern six times as he sat in a disabled car. Brackney said he is happy he can look in the mirror and help people again, according to Northwest Arkansas News.
Brackney was charged with manslaughter on April 20, 2010, three months after killing 41-year-old Mr. Ahern. Ms. Carol Owens, Ahern’s girlfriend at the time of his death, was subsequently terrorized by Bella Vista police. She was pulled over and harassed multiple times in the following months after the summary execution.
Several other friends and acquaintances of Mr. Ahern told the OP-NAT EYE they were also targeted by Bella Vista cops for speaking out against the department and Brackney. The killer cop pleaded guilty to misdemeanor negligent homicide. Benton County prosecutor Van Stone facilitated the slap-on-the-wrist (UPDATE: Stone resigned in 2014 and joined the legal team of Walmart).
Brackney served a mere 30 days in county jail. His criminal record was expunged thereafter.
Cops have a lot of incentive to murder Americans under color of state law. They received paid vacations lasting anywhere from a few weeks to months. Killer cops are also in high demand by other police departments once they are fired and/or prosecuted.
The people of Sulphur Springs (population 671 per the 2000 census) now have a convicted killer as the sole “police officer” of their town. Casey Anthony will never work in America again after (likely) killing her baby. OJ Simpson went back to prison because he could never work in America again after (likely) killing two people. But cops are allowed to murder, encouraged to murder, and are rewarded for murder. Americans allow it to happen time after time after time after time after…
Bella Vista police chief Ken Farmer said he is happy for Brackney because he believes in second chances. Mr. Ahern did not even get a first chance.
Haven’t you read the parable of the prodigal son?
