A 23-year-old man is dead, after being the victim of yet another biking-while-brown incident in California.
The summary execution took place at 11:30 p.m. Thursday night near the 82000 block of Miles Avenue in Indio. Mr. Alejandro Rendon, 23, was minding his own business, riding his bike in a country which the people believe they have the freedom to do so. An armed municipal employee decided he wanted to harrass Mr. Rendon and ordered him to pull over because he “looked suspicious.” Mr. Rendon, fearing for his life after being confronted by an armed individual with a green light to murder, tried his best to get away from the government-sanctioned killer by riding away as quickly as he could. His effort were futile, as the cop caught up to him, and fired five shots at the young man, killing him instantly. The cop, of course, was rewarded for the kill with a paid vacation, aka “paid administrative leave.”
Standard state-run media protocols were quickly commenced, as mydesert.com, a Gannett newspaper, published an unverified “criminal record” they say is Mr. Rendon. This is how media and government collaborate to justify these daily murders of Americans. Ben Guitron, the spokescop for the City of Indio, told KMIR Channel 6 in Palm Springs the killer had to make “a split second decision” to protect himself from an unarmed man on a bicycle. Indio Police have now killed two Latinos this year already and shot at another. They murdered Mr. Guadalupe Rivera on January 21, and recklessly shot at 18-year-old Mr. Juan Lopez Villanueva on January 9.
It is unclear as of publishing if Mr. Rendon had children. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
